P.S. My albums are incomplete but take a look at what we did - so fun!!!
I attended the Fontwerks sb workshop today at Scrappingville by Fontwerks owner - Kah Mei Smith. She is a Malaysian-born celebrity scrapbook artist. So all you Malaysian scrapbookers out there - are you inspired yet? We had 2 marathon sessions - completing 2 albums in one day!
The first being a transparent or clear album. We played with a variety of techniques - masking, foil, inks gesso, tags, stickers and stamps. The transparent album presented some challenges as one has to be careful on positioning everything!!! But it was a fun project.
The 2nd project was with a Maya Road chipboard album. Kah Mei had a great idea of doing an album about ourselves. I have NEVER scrapped about myself and I was really nervous of revealing too much. Kah Mei assured that it was ok to scrap about ourselves and that the album would be a legacy for our kids and would foster some bond between parent and child.
It was difficult for me to find photos that would fit into this album cos I was always behind the camera and there were no nice photos of myself. But I managed to find 1 or 2 here and there and used photos from my uni days. I must say that it turned out to be a great album and I had a most thrilling but tiring scrapping marathon. Hope that there will be more to come! Thanks Sharon.
P.S. I will post photos tomorrow as my camera ran out of batteries. Sorry...
