Journal - Baby Shower

I was invited to a baby shower this afternoon and I must say that this is one of the prettiest baby shower have ever been to. When I say pretty - I do mean pretty. The decor was pretty, the food was pretty, even all the people invited were pretty too. You prob guessed it from the pics - it is a pink and white party...Yes!!! She is expecting a precious baby girl anytime now.... Feast your eyes on the pics my friends...

Journal - Wushu Exam

After that very late and exciting online crop last nite, I find myself not sleeping from all that adrenaline and having to get up early today for the kid's first wushu (chinese martial arts) exam. Found it hard to drag myself out of bed. But it has to be done...

As we were not familiar with the other side of town, we managed to get there in the nick of time as we managed to get lost. As soon as we arrived, Sean was up next. I must say that he rose to the challenge and had a great time. I laughed when I edited his photos as

1) His expression was so serious

2) His belt became undone halfway through his moves.

Up next was Clarissa - she went through the motions well too. I could tell that she was nervous as she didnt have time to settle and she bit her lip throughout. Dont worry babe - you will do well and pass.

We managed to have a mini photoshoot after the exam with their coach. His name is Ho Ro Bin and he was one of Malaysia's Wushu Junior Champion - I think was last year's. He is a very nice and friendly chap and totally disciplined. Thats is 1 of the reasons why I an glad that the kids are doing wushu. Anyway, getting lethargic - must go snooze... Will leave you gals with some of the pics...

Layouts from SnC 1st Online Crop

The following are los from SnC's first online crop. Our gracious hostess and DT, Wati - hosted our very first crop. It was indeed nerve-warcking for all of us who partcipated as we had no idea what challenges that she is going to post and on top of that - each lo had specifications :

e.g. First challenge - My beach lo - one has to use 5 buttons, flowers, brads, arrows

2nd Challenge - Pool lo - Minimalistic - one word title, one rub on, one chipboard, one stamp, one-line journalling.

3rd challenge - Go OTT - we had to use more than 3 pp, 3 embellishments, more than 2 photos, use different alphas for the title...

We scrapped till we dropped during this 3 hour ala amazing race scrap. Wati graciously donated 3 RAKs for the fastest scrapper and questions on SnC were posed the whole time. Thanks Wati for such great fun and your generosity. Must join more online crops next time. They are great fun!!!

Must say that my layouts didnt turn out great but I had loads of fun...

Journal - Chinese New Year Flower

One of the most popular flowers during CNY is the pussy willow. I chanced upon a live plant at Hock Choon's yesterday and couldnt resist getting it. I have recently purchased some birdies to go with some of my gold bamboo.

I was lucky today as the photographer the house was here - who else but our talented Ms Jessy and her equally talented other half Eric. They took these pics of my plant and birds. Hope you enjoy these pics as much as I enjoy them.

Layout - Angel {Becks}

The following is a product of a photo swap amongst the forum members of http://www.scrap-n-crop.com/ hosted by who else - me. I was assigned this photo to scrap and this is what I came up with. I hope that my fellow forum member will like this layout.

I used the Prima Paintables collection for this layout. All I did was to colour in the painted images and I added glitter glue onto them. Added some 3d lacquer to some places that I wish to highlight esp the heart shapes, the letter V and the angel wings.

Then I added lots of Prima flowers. To add height and dimension - I popped the flowers with 3d pop ups. In addition - I added pearl flowers centers as I thought I should go easy on the bling and wanted a more romantic feel as its Valentines soon.

Materials used:

Prima Paintables PP, Kindyglitz Glitter Glue is various colours, All Night Media Colour Pencils, 3d lacquer, various Prima flowers and Thickers foam alphas.

Guess what I found in Gap yesterday? Another owl top for C! I am happy - owls seems to be the craze this year yes?

Altered Art - Gold Faces

Shar showed me something new yesterday. She asked to to try making faces with moulds and UTEE and gave me some that she made. I loves them so much that I went immediately to buy the moulds. I melted my UTEE this am and made this new batch of faces. I love them - enjoy. Just think of them on ATCs - Beeeeaaauuuutttiiiiifffuuulllllll....... Thanks Shar for sharing your techniques...
