Sneak Peek - International Woman's Day lo

My project for the day last night was making the International Woman's Day layout for the http://www.scrap-n-crop.com/ newsletter. I finished late and hence did not find the time to blog this. I have to say I am going to miss designing for this website. This will be one of the last 3 los with them. My DT (Design Term) is up with this website and now they are looking for new DTs. If anyone is interested, pls visit the site and drop a line with them.

Altered Canvas - Create

Made a simple canvas today. Firstly I must credit 2 people for the inspirations for canvas. I have to admit that when I first made my canvas layout - Pls see Canvas - Sibling last year, I thought I came up with the idea. Now - it seems that everyone is doing it. So I guess I didnt pioneer it...I was under the illusion that I did - LOL!!!
I must credit Ali Edwards - who wrote Life Artist - bought it from http://www.scrap-n-crop.com/ last month or the month before. Love all the canvases that she produced. Secondly - for the textured ways that I have employed here... It was from the book "Tantalizing Textures" by Trudy Sigurdson. I spent 4 hours at the hospital today and I tried to read her book back to back. Here are the results of the read I guess....

Love the textures that I created and the 3d effects. I nearly forgot to thank my pal, Shar for giving me the wire mesh last December, thanks Shar....

Materials used:
4x4 canvas, Adirondack Acrylic dabbers, Making Memories Mesh, Some chipboard letters (sorry cant remember where thery were from), Prima Flowers, Blue Bling, chipboard and some fibers that I bought from Lincraft.

Journal - Typo mistakes

It has come to my attention that I have lots spelling errors in my blog, mainly Adironback and etc....

I am too lazy to go thru each post and hence - this is to correct myself that :

Adironback should be spelled as ADIRONDACK....

I apologise for the error- will endeavour to lessen my spelling mistakes ... which of course will inevitably happen cos I type too fast and my mind lingers when I am typing... So pls bear with me...

Altered Canvas - The Hoois

Helped my friend develop some photos today. Couldnt help but to steal some photos from her cos I love them so much. All the pic have been taken by who else but Jessy of course. Well done Jessy - lovely photo shoot.
I just scrapped the pics simply using 3d techniques which I have used before. The only diff were the UTEE chinese words which was peace, harmony and love. In addition, I stamped the sides and added some cabouchon pink jewels to highlight the center of the flowers.

Journal - Izzie - update

Just when I thought that it was torturous enough for Izzie to watch all the kids' shows on telly, my brats came up with this idea this am. I mean - I am SPEECHLESS!!! I was just painting thw background of my canvas - seriously - left them with Izzie - for maybe 5 mins? Gosh - this is what they did to her.

The poor dog is in the stroller - all tucked in with another of her fave toy - a pink poodle and all cuddled up. Poor Izzie - but I had to take a pics. Of course I scolded them but secretly I thought that the whole Izzie in the stroller quite cute!!! My friends, pls dont call the SPCA or the Animal Abuse hotline, they really do love Izzie lots. They just treat her like another playmate - thats all...

Altered Box - YT

This is an altered box that I made for a friend. I used some of my latest sb stash namely - crackle paint, Adironback colour wash, my latest Stamp It stamps from Oz. I had fun altering the box and I personally think it looks artsy.
Materials used:
Small box, Adironback colour wash, Crackle Paint, Stamp-it Stamps, Fancy Pants Stamp, Thickers alphas, BG rubon.

Journal - Izzie update

This post is dedicated to Joelynn. This is what Izzie looks like after 3 weeks here. She is getting very bored with the attention that the kids give her. They terrorise her the minute they get home, make her watch loads of cartoons and shows on tv. As shown in the picture, poor Izzie has to be always on their laps during each tv session.

Journal - Cycling in the land of Oz

Starting to ride and trying to balance and take pics at the same time - awesome!!!

Finally getting some help from daddy to push the handicapped bike back to the bike hire shed...
Sean's bike sprung a puncture and he had to push it all the way back to exchange for another bike whilst mummy took pictures of the scenery - beautiful!!!

This is how Sean cycles when he is tired. He put his feet up on the bikes' bar. Very funny....

One of our fave activities down under would be cycling. I took loads of pictures today but will only post a couple here. Will post more in my travel blog when I have the time.

I think I kinda can take decent pictures even when I am cycling. One hand on the bar and another holding the camera whilst I am pedalling furiously to keep up with the rest. I didn't fall luckily - otherwise it will not be a pretty sight!!! LOL!!!
