Journal - Off for Holidays

Yippee - I am taking off to London in a couple of hours.  I am so happy and relieved and excited at the same time.  Its been 5 years since I last saw my friend Janine.  Woohoo - she is picking us up at Heathrow and will be fun to see the kids' reaction to each other.  They haven't seen each other for so long. WOnder if they would play together?

Toodles and see you in 11 days.

Iz - On the way to recovery

Looking at the poodle
somehow misses it, double backs and
Yippee!!! Grabbing the poodle

Iz is on the road to recovery.  Pardon the blurred photos but I was happy to share them as Iz is showing signs of being a happier dog. Grateful for the change and happy that she is better.

Journal - Class Party

Class of 5R - all smiles.

Everybody JUMP!!!

Well - its that time of the year again - its the end of term and the kids are having their class party today.  Its been a busy week for mummy as I had to prepare food for their class parties. Baked 100 cupcakes yesterday and iced them simply,  made some pesto aubergine tarts and baked some chicken wings too for the kids.  So I am exhausted.  I think I will take a nap before I start working on my scrappy things again.

Journal - Junior school Talentime

It was the Junior School Talentime yesterday and I was asked by Clarissa to attend. I was wondering why and I didn't realise she had the lead role for Summer Nights from Grease.  Well - so much to paying attention to what your kids say huh? Bad mummy...

Anyway - she put up a great show and I still have Summer Nights spinning around in my head! I apologise for the photos - but the school hall and the lighting plus the crowd.  Hard to take good photos - thats my excuse for the day!!! LOL!

Journal - Wii is definitely more important than notebooks

Sigh - as you can see from the photos,  this is where I caught Sean - playing with his Wii when he was supposed to be altering notebooks with me.  So much so for spending time with your kids eh?  Well - I tried and meanwhile Sean is having a blast with his Wii.

Altered notebooks {clarissa}

These are the notebooks that Clarissa made this morning.  She made a grand total of 12 and lasted much better than her younger sibling.  She is now planning who to give these notebooks to.

Materials used:
Notebooks from popular,  Sassas Fras Lass stamps,  Autumn Leaves Stamps, October Afternoon Stamps,  Chatterbox pp,  Black Brilliance Ink,  Clear UTEE and 3d foam tape.

Altered notebooks {Sean}

Ruey gave me this cool idea of getting cheap notebooks for the kids to alter.  Armed with 90 sen (RM0.90) notebooks - I was determined to inspire my kids to make them and hopefully they will like it.  Alas,  Sean had the attention life span of a 3 year old.  He only managed to do 4 and they are the above.  However,  please note that the Love Conquers All notebook is for mummy... Bless his little heart.

Materials used:
notebooks from Popular,  Chatterbox pp,  Autumn Leaves stamp, Black Brilliance Ink, Clear UTEE and 3 d foam tape.

Journal - Tornado debris?

Well - this certainly looks like it - a tornado ripping into my room. What happened here?  All the mess.  Its a result of Clarissa and Sean making some altered notebooks this morning.  It feels like they have dismantled my whole room!!!

Sean only managed to make 4 notebooks and 1 for mummy - how sweet - thanks baby.  Clarissa on the other hand scored a grand total of 12.  I am a happy mummy and this is my bid for the week for trying to take their attention off the tv and games.  I don't think I have been successful though.  Sigh....

Layout - My First Chinese Painting {sean}

Sean drew this painting with Auntie Nancy for Chinese New Year 04 and I loved it so much that I framed this up.  I am glad that I had a record of some of his art pieces and I am using this as an achievement layout for the SK July I did It challenge.

Materials used:
Bazzill cs,  Creative Imaginations pp,  Technique Tuesday bracket frame,  Hero arts chinese stamp,  embossing pad,  Gold UTEE,  Making Memories gold alphas,  Thickers naked chipboard alphas,  Adironback Acrylic Dabbers and 3d pop up dots.

Layout - Your Handwriting at 3 {Clarissa)

Made this layout for SK's this month challenge - "I did it!".  I found this very very old handwriting piece written by Clarissa when she was 3 years old.  It was quite dirty and and had some scribbles on it.  I used correction fluid to erase the unwanted parts and scrapped this piece of work.

I am back at doing cutouts for this layout as I was lazy. But I think its quite a nice effect on this layout.

Materials used:
Making Memories Kraft pp,  America Craft pp,  Basic Grey pp,  Urban Lilly pp,  K n Co pp,  Sassa Fras Lass pp,  Technique Tuesday Chipboard circle,  Felt by Prima,  Thickers foam alphas,  Making Memories alpha stickers,  Versamagic chalk and 3d pop up dots.

Layout - Why I scrap

There are many reasons why I scrap but predominantly - its cos I want to preserve memories for Clarissa and Sean.  I know I may not be a good mother in terms of patience etc but I try to be a good mother for their memories.

Its a very simple layout as I feel that it reflects me - just a simple scrapbooker. This page will go into the first ever country-wide Scrapbooking Circle Journal.  I hope to get as many entries as possible to this journal and hopefully this journal will be around for a long long time.

Materials used:
7 Gypsies pp,  MM Kraft pp,  Thickers foam alphas,  Dymo journalling tape,  Melissa Frances Trim,  Vita Bella brads from Little Yellow Bicycle,  Glossy Accents,  Crackle Glossy Accents and 3d pop up dots.

Journal - Back from camp

Clarissa is home from camp and the fighting starts the minute she gets into the car.  Sigh... Where is that Aston Martin when I want one.  I would gladly trade for these 2 brats.  I am not sure if this is hormonal but I think it plays a part is she is very grouchy and extremely fussy nowadays. Every little thing sparks her off.  I am praying that this phase will pass really quickly.
