Journal - Queen of the Couch {Izzie}

Announcing HRH Queen of the Couch - Queen Izzie. HRH is pictured sleeping here on her favourite couch together with the royal teddy bear. When HRH awakens, the first thing that she does would to grab the royal teddy and shake it as in picture 2. After some strenuous shaking, HRH is asleep yet again from all the efforts. Too cute!!!

Layout - Cool Moves {Sean}

Made another simple layout. I have utilised very simple methods in scrapping this photo. Cut out the pp esp around the plum blossoms. Thereafter I traced a Heidi Swapp bird and cut it out. As black is not a traditional chinese new year colour, I added some red UTEE to colour it up. Used 3d pop up foam for both the bird and plum blossoms for 3d effects.

I painted the thickers chipboard alphas for black and then embossed with red UTEE. Added some simple journaling.

Materials used:
KCK pp, Heidi Swapp mask bird, Thickers alphas and Making Memories black glitter alphas.

My 2nd Digi Layout

See something different? There is no way I can do a digi layout. This lo is a pressie from Jessy - bless her little kind heart for me. Its very very nice and I love it. Plus she remembered my owl obsession and what is in the left hand corner of the picture? True enough - its an owl plus a crown on Clarissa's head. This is def enough to send a gal on cloud 9. Thanks Jessy...

ATCs with fused fibers and goldy faces

Remember my gold faces that I made with UTEE? Well - these ATCs are all made using all the gold faces and I love them. They all look pretty cool to me. Hope you like them.
Materials used:
Gold Embossing powder, cardstock, assorted fibers.

Layout - Creative Xmas

Add Image

Sean drew a xmas painting on canvas last xmas. Thought I'd scrap it. Jessy took this pic as he was showing off his painting and it turned out pretty cute. But as his mom - I reserve to be biased. I scrapped the pic very simply and added a rub on and bling word.

Materials Used:
BG pp, Making Memories glitter alphas, Scenic Route Rub ons, Bling word "Fa la la la".

Journal - Izzie {Day 2}

Its Day no 2 with Izzie. Glad to say that she is adjusting to the home life here Joelynn. She is a little happier, has learnt how to go up the stairs but not downstairs tho - but we are training her and bribing her with biscuits - should be in no time. She has learnt how to poo on her numerous walks outside. She needs to perfect her peeing - she is still doing it within our driveway :(

She has tried to some attention seeking ways - she will whine when we put her in the cage. But she has learnt that we will ignore her so she has not tried since. She will not hesitate to bark at strangers in the house - for that I am glad.

As you can see from the pics, she loves to play ball with the kids and she enjoys her belly rubs with them. I sometimes pity her as the kids do treat her like a toy!!! Poor dog...

Layout - Quiet Moment {Sean}

This is a rare quiet moment in Sean's diary. He is always running around - screaming or on his scooter. To catch him in a quiet reflective mood - its is rare indeed. Eric - Jessy's hubby - took this beautiful picture of him strumming his guitar. I love this pic and decided to scrap it today.

To reflect the quiet mood - I chose very very soothing colours. I was not afraid of using a pink flower for his layout as I thought it looked ok. A simple layout for a precious moment. The journalling in black goes : "If I knew that it only took a guitar to slow you down, I would have bought it a long, long time ago." The journalling in the green wooden tag goes "RARE MOMENT INDEED."
Before I end this post - I must credit Iris from the Phillipines for inspiring me to do slanted or tilted photo layouts. I must say I am addicted to them now. Thanks Iris for inspiring me...
Materials used:
Wild asparagus pp, KnCo Amy Butler pp, Thickers alphas, Chatterbox wooden tag and pom pom ribbon trim from Lincraft Australia.

Journal - Izzie in the House

Izzie is my new baby. She is a 4 month old miniature schnauzer. She is extremely cute but still shy. She has so far received loads of attention from both my kids and she is constantly being carried by the both of them. Wonder how long this will last (snicker)...

Altered Alpha - S

I only managed to find an S alpha and have yet to get a big C for Clarissa. Initially - the alpha was supposed to be mischievious and fun. It turned out classic after I played with it with UTEE. I think I am going nuts!!!
I dabbed embossing ink on some parts of the alpha, added gold UTEE and applied the heat gun. Loved the effect so much that I did it all over the chipboard letters and shape. Added a couple of gold charms with the words:
1) Spirit
2) Faith
3) Hope
Added a gold dragon coin later as Sean is born in the year of the dragon. Lastly - the gold filigree thingies...
Materials used:
MM "S" Alpha, PP, Thickers alphas, Gold UTEE, gold dragon coin, gold filligree, gold charms and Maya Road chipboard.

Sneak Peeks - Valentine Projects

I have made 2 Valentine Projects for http://www.scrap-n-crop.com/ using their Valentines kit. They turned out really nice. Here's the sneak peeks to the 2 projects... Please look out for it in the next newsletters...

Journal - Baby Shower

I made this card for the mom-to-be at the bridal shower. I kept musing and mulling over what to give her and I came up with this redemption card valid for either "vouchers from mothercare" or "a The First Year Album" made by yours truly. Hope that she will like this idea and play along with the latter choice...
