Layout - Friends {Clarissa and Sabby}

Just a layout that I made for the SNC June DT challenge.  Had fun using prima paintables,  watercolour,  lots of diff cutouts,  and lots of 3d dimensions.

Photo credits:  Jessy

Materials used:
Prima Paintables pp, Prima pp,  Anna Griffin pp,  Scenic Route pp,  Urban Lily pp,  Websters Page pp,  K n Co Amy Butler pp,  American Craft pp,  3d pop up dots,  kindyglitz,  watercolour,  Prima Felt Alphas, Prima chipboard journalling circle,  blue pearl strand and Zig black pen.

Layout - 2 front teeth {Sean}

Simone took these adorable pictures of Sean in Sept 2006.  I loved them all.  I was looking for some pictures to scrap according to a sketch at ScrappingGlitz and this the layout that I have come up with.  A simple one this time but I have decided to add some UTEE-ed faces to my layout.

Materials used:
Bazzill cs,  Prima pp, Clear Utee,  Melting Pot,  Red to-dye-for Ink,  Dymo Journalling Strips and 3d pop up dots.

Journal - School Camp {Clarissa}

Clarissa heads off to her annual school camp today.  I have mixed feeling about it.  Hope she has arrived safely and that she has eaten and drank enough.  Its funny that when she is here - I do find her annoying at times.  But its only been 5 hours and I am already missing her.  Sigh... Hope everything goes well on her camp and that she comes home a happier person.

Journal - Why can't they just get along?

Both Clarissa and Sean are at each other's throats since last night.  It started with sharing the couch and then it escalated to Izzie etc.  It seems that there is no peace in this house.  Sigh...

Whilst coming back from dinner,  this happened in the car:

Sean  says:  "Mummy - cheh cheh (older sister) wants to trade me for a baby girl."

Clarissa says:  "Yup,  its cos you wanted to trade me for a baby boy."

There you go - I am resigned to the fact that they will never get along.  There goes my peace or should I trade them for an Aston Martin? That sounds really tempting - LOL!!!

Kiddoes ATC -{Clarissa}

Clarissa came up with some cool-looking ATCs yesterday. She must have been watching me scrap very often as I could see she was quite a pro at this as she played along.  She tried to mix colours and on her own intiative,  she dabbed dots using my acrylic dabbers.  She stamped quite a lot too which resulted in many differet patterns and style.  She even added an alphabet as name initials.  Great job baby.

I hope that she will start a trend in her class for exchanging these ATCS - which are Artists Trading Cards basically.  That should keep the kids busy creating on these little pieces of paper measuring 3 1/2 inches by 2 1/2 inches each.  Very simple and very low in cost but scores high in the creativity department.  Hope we start a trend soon.

Materials used:
Glossy paper,  Distress inks,  Stazon Inks,  Stamps,  Mesh-like ribbon,  Thickers alphas and lots of creativity from a 10 year old.

Altered album- SHAZ

Made this album for a Shar.  I had fun doing this and pushed myself to do a gothic style album for a change.  It was quite difficult for me as my style has always been clean and neat. However, I must say I could get used to this style. I felt that I was having so much fun and so creative when I was playing with this album.

Materials used:
Maya Road Album,  Prima flowers,  Prima brads,  Maya Road chipboard shapes,  Chatterbox pp,  7 gypsies pp,  Stamp-it pp,  KI Lace cs (for cover and masking the dots, scallops too),  Adironback acrylic dabbers, Ranger Distress Inks,  Brilliance copper ink, Tim Holtz Distress Embossing Powder,  Crackle paint,  Hambly transparency,  BG rubon, Little Davis alphas,  Scraptivate black gate looking diecut,  Melissa Frances vintage lace trims,  Green and beige trim courtesy of Kat - thanks,  Chinese coins from chinatown,  Red embossing powder,  3d lacquer and loads of effort - with TLC...

Altered Album - CLAR

I have used the album that I made during SK's online crop as Clarissa's little album.  Clarissa is such an insecure child - I have to encourage her constantly that she is fine by herself and she should not be listening too much to negative comments by others.

I remember the time when she came home and cried - "Mummy - so and so called me ugly."  Hence - this album is to enourage her in a simple way not to listen too much to negative comments.

Materials used:

Bazzill cs,  embellishments from a RAK,  lace doilies,  PRima - Say it with Crystals alphas (Thanks L),  Francheville brads,  7 gypsies rubon,  Heidi Swapp transparent clock,  Dymo journalling strips, Ribbon and Lace trim.

Altered album - SK tutorial

Wati taught us this simple yet beautiful album during the last saturday's online crop.  This album is a simpler version of the Star albums that I used to make but I think they make really lovely gifts...  Thanks for the tutorial Wati. Loved making it.

Title - Love my crocs

Firstly I apologise for the ugly pics. The pics were taken at night when I did this lo for SK's online crop.  I have had fun joining in and the rules for this challenge:

1)  To use 2 patterned paper
2)  To use 2 swirls
3)  To use 2 flowers

Did a simple layout as we got home later after dinner and I was rushing to walk Iz.

Materials used:
MM pp,  KnCo pp,  Prima Flowers,  Autumn Leaves buttons,  Thickers foam alphas,  Black Stazon Ink and Heidi Swapp Script Stamp.

Journal - Izzie's progress

Izzie has made some progress over the past few days.  She is walking better and she is moving around a bit more.  However,  she is vomitting everyday now and she has been having so many accidents in the house even though we bring hr out at least 5 times a day now.

These are a set of pictures which I have refrained to put up till now.  These were taken when she first came home and she was very depressed.  I hope that she will recover soon.

Journal - Izzie - sick

I have been busy and neglecting everything as Izzie has been sick.  It has been a very sad ordeal for us as we found out that the illness that Iz has is not treatable at all.  I have cried buckets over it and it took my 3 days to get myself together.  I will now try to blog and remember the good times that we had with Iz.

This is a photo of Iz I took yesterday.  She is like this most of the time although she has perked up a little today.  We are praying for her to get better and a little milestone today - she could go downstairs by herself.  I was estatic.

Layout - Simply Friends

Made this lo using the new Luxe transparency that I bot.  Had fun with it as I decided to use the Tim Holtz Distress embossing powder together with the Tim Holtz stamp to create the bubble like effects.  I have had fun playing with this.

The background pp is a pp that I made myself using some distress inks.  The I added the transparency thereafter and stitched around the lo.   I have also embossed clear embossing powder on the dragonfly and I loved the effects of it. The rest is self explanatory I guess.

Materials used:
Glossy photo paper,  AC pp,  Luxe transparency,  Thread stickers,  Prima flower, Glitz gems,  TH distressing embossing powder,  TH stamps,  K n Co chipboard letters and black embroidery thread.

Made this canvas for Nadhrah for the grand opening of her online shop - www.scrappingglitz.com.  Congrats Nadhrah - wishing you all the success.

Materials used:
12 x 12 canvas,  Prima flower,  Technique Tuesday circle,  Gold UTEE,  Embossing Ink,  Brown Stazon, Mica tiles,  Tim Holtz Stamp,  Hero Arts Stamp,  Brilliance Inks,  Versamagic chalk ink and trims.

Layout - Undiscovered Picasso {S}

I am seriously having to catch up with my blogging. Made this layout for a moderator's challenge which I am running for SNC forum.  The title of the challenge is "Undiscovered Picasso".

I loved this drawing done by Sean when he was 4 years old.  I thought it was brilliant as he drew the footballers whilst watching television.  Yes,  its kinda funny as every footballer has a football at his feet but I guess he had no concept of the game at the time.  He named this drawing LOCIM as he didn't know how to spell football at the time.

Materials used:
Creative Imaginations rubons,  UTEE brightz,  BG chipboard,  BG trim and Bazzill cs.

Art on plates - {C n S]

Clarissa and Sean both drew something on plates today. It has been some time that I haven't loaded their artwork onto my blog.  They made these plates today.  Sean has decided to draw Izzie - our miniature schnauzer on his whereas Clarissa has decided a different approach - drawing a chinese pattern with red branches and her name in the middle.
